Designed for those whose previous qualification is not in computer science or a related discipline, the graduate certificate develops your knowledge in the core principles of computer science and provides you with four core units in computer science to develop your fundamental knowledge ready for the industry.

Pathways to a masters degree

You can graduate with a Graduate Certificate of Computer Science; in approximately 0.7 years part-time, after completing 4 units (24 credit points total).

You can also continue studying after completing approximately:

  • 1.4 years part-time, 10 units (60 credit points), and you’ll receive a Graduate Diploma of Computer Science; or
  • 2 years part-time, 12 units (72 credit points total), and you’ll receive a Master of Computer Science.

The course comprises four units, in which you will develop an understanding of the principles and techniques used in the broad field of computer science.

For the Graduate Certificate of Computer Science, the estimated cost is $4,862.50 per unit. You may be eligible to receive a FEE-HELP loan to cover part or all of your tuition. Fees are subject to change annually.
